Coming Spring Events You Won't Want to Miss!  
Senior Class Pie Breakfast Fundraiser CANCELLED.. The Class of 2017 has cancelled this fundraising event.
Vermont Green Up Day.. Saturday, May 6.  Student volunteers are needed and you can earn Community Service hours!
Early Dismissal for Teacher Professional Development .. Tuesday, May 9.  Students will be dismissed at 11:35 AM.  
Middle School Drama Presentation... The Hazen Middle School Drama Group will present "Little Women" on May 18 and 19.
Junior Prom.. The Hazen Class of 2018 will present Prom 2017 on Saturday, May 20, at the Hope Grows Farm in Hyde Park.
National Honor Society Induction Ceremony... New members will be inducted on Monday, May 22, at 7:30 PM.
Spring Music Concerts... The Middle School Band and Chorus will perform on Tuesday, May 23, and the High School Band, and Chorus will perform on Wednesday, May 24.  Both concerts will begin at 7 PM in the Hazen Auditorium.
Senior Citizens Day at Hazen.. The Hazen National Honor Society will host local seniors to our school on May 25.  
Red Cross Blood Drive at Hazen .. Friday, May 26, from 12:30 to 6 PM in the Hazen Gym.  Sponsored by Hazen NHS.
Hardwick Spring Festival Parade.. The Hazen Band will perform on Saturday, May 27.
Memorial Holiday ... School will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017, for the Memorial Day holiday.
Green Up Day in Hardwick!  The annual Green Up Day in Vermont will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  Hazen students can earn valuable Community Service hours by helping organizers at the Hardwick Fire Station by handing out bags and gloves and taking in roadside trash as it comes in.  Volunteers are needed from 9 AM to 3 PM.  Please contact Karen Klotz at 472-9034 to sign up!
A La Carte items now available in the Hazen Cafeteria!  The Hazen Cafeteria now offers some entrees, healthy snack items and beverages for purchase individually.  A la carte items will be cash sales only or paid for by funds on student account......students may not charge a la carte items.

Hazen School Budget Vote Today at the Hardwick Elementary School!  Polls are open until 7 PM!
2017 Spring Recess!   Hazen Union School will be closed for Spring Recess Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21, 2017.  Classes will resume on Monday, April 24.
A La Carte items now available in the Hazen Cafeteria!  The Hazen Cafeteria now offers some entrees, healthy snack items and beverages for purchase individually.  A la carte items will be cash sales only or paid for by funds on student account......students may not charge a la carte items.  
Summer 20017 Chinese Cultural Camp.. BECOME A HOST FAMILY OR STUDENT AMBASSADOR!!  The Chinese Cultural Camp is being held in Hardwick this summer and we are looking for host families.  This is a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange.  Chinese students will be here for approximately 11 days.  Exact dates will be known in the next month, but the 11 days will happen during a three week window:  July 20- Aug. 10th.  There is a stipend for hosting and the program is a ton of fun!! Please contact Anna Crytzer if you're interested:  acrytzer@ossu.org or 802-525-4292.

School Closed for Students on Friday, March 25:  School will be closed for students on Friday, March 25, to allow teachers to participate in professional development.   
Special Guest Speakers this Week!  The Hazen SADD group has invited a special guest speaker, David Flood, to speak to students about school culture, respect and dignity on Tuesday, March 21, and the Stand Up group will represent "Raise Your Voice" on Thursday, March 23.  
Dance on Thursday, March 24! Students are invited to shake off winter for a good cause at a dance to benefit the Friends for A_Dog Foundation on Thursday, March 24, from 7 to 10 PM in the Hazen Gym.  "DJ Mastodon" will provide the entertainment and admission is only $5!  Students wishing to bring a guest must sign them up in the Principal's Office before the end of school on Tuesday, March 22.

Hazen Drama Presentation for Students TODAY!  The Hazen Drama Club will present the play "Witness" for students today at 1:30 PM in the Hazen Auditorium.  Teachers are asked to bring their students and sit with them during the performance.
