Attention Middle School Students!  You can choose to run your mile for PE on Wednesday, June 7, or Thursday, June 8, at 9:30 AM or 11:30 AM with the permission of your teacher.  Report to the field at the designated time.

SAT at Hazen on Saturday:  The SAT test will be administered at Hazen on Saturday, June 3, for all students who have registered for the test.  Students taking the test should arrive by 7:45 AM.  
Spring Sports Awards Night: The Hazen Athletic Department will recognize their spring athletes at an Awards Night on Monday, June 5, at 6 PM in the Auditorium.  Please come out and celebrate the efforts of our Wildcat athletes!
Drama Club Production:  The Hazen Drama Club will present "Almost, Maine" at the Hardwick Townhouse on  Wednesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 8, at 7 PM.  
High School Awards Assembly:  The annual Awards Assembly for high school students will be held on Friday, June 9, in the Auditorium.
Yearbook Assembly:  The Yearbook Assembly will be held on Friday, June 9, in the gym.  It is not too late to purchase a yearbook!  Mr. Raas will be in the lobby each morning to take your order.  Yearbooks are $20 each.
Coffee House and Senior Solo Performance:  The Hazen Music Department cordially invites you to spend a delightful evening being entertained by the departing seniors in their final solo performance.  The concert and coffee house will begin at 7 PM in the Auditorium.
Baccalaureate Service for Seniors:  The Baccalaureate Service for graduating seniors will be hosted this year by Saint Norbert's Church in Hardwick.  The service will be held on Sunday, June 11, at 7 PM.  All graduating seniors are encouraged to attend with their families. This event is open to the public.  Rehearsal for all seniors planning to attend Baccalaureate will be on Friday, June 9, at 3 PM.  Seniors should bring their cap and gown to rehearsal.
8th Grade Recognition and Celebration:  Hazen will recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2021 on Wednesday, June 14, at 6 PM in the Hazen Gym.  The celebration will be followed by a reception in the cafeteria.  
2017 Graduation Ceremony:  The Hazen Class of 2017 will hold their graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 17, at 10 AM in the Gym.  Graduating seniors must arrive by 9 AM for robing and the class photo. 
Final Days and Early Release for Students:  Students will be released at 11:35 AM on Friday, June 16, and  again on the last student day on Monday, June 19.  
A La Carte items now available in the Hazen Cafeteria!  The Hazen Cafeteria now offers some entrees, healthy snack items and beverages for purchase individually.  A la carte items will be cash sales only or paid for by funds on student account......students may not charge a la carte items.

School Closed for Memorial Holiday ... School will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017, for the Memorial Day holiday.
Red Cross Blood Drive at Hazen .. Friday, May 26, from 12:30 to 6 PM in the Hazen Gym.  Sponsored by Hazen NHS.
Hardwick Spring Festival Parade.. The Hazen Band will perform in the Hardwick Spring Festival Parade on Saturday, May 27.

Prom Court 2017!  Congratulations to the Hazen Class of 2018 for presenting a spectacular prom at Hope Grows Farm!  Members of the Prom Court are Queen - Natalie Foster-Pudvah and King - Ronan Hill; Princess Brook Hall and Prince Josh Blake; Attendants were Casey McAllister and Soloman Race and MaLesha Willey and Ben Gaboriault. Many thanks to Prom Advisor, Mrs. Nicole Foster and the Junior Prom Committee for orchestrating a memorable evening!    
Spring Music Concerts this Week! The Middle School Band and Chorus will perform on Tuesday, May 23, and the  High School Band, and Chorus will perform on Wednesday, May 24.  Both concerts will begin at 7 PM in the Hazen Auditorium.
Senior Citizens Day at Hazen.. The Hazen National Honor Society will host local seniors to our school on May 25.  Guests will be given a tour of the building and treated to refreshments.

6th Grade Step-Up Day at Hazen!   The Hazen community will welcome 6th grade students from the OSSU District on Wednesday, May 17.  Students will arrive for orientation at 9:15 AM.  They will meet with school administrators, tour the building with NHS students, be treated to a concert by Hazen music students and meet with middle school teachers in their classrooms before returning to the elementary schools at 11:15 AM.  Hazen students are asked to extend a courteous Wildcat Welcome to the Hazen Class of 2023!
Orientation for 6th Grade Parents:  A special orientation evening is planned for all parents of 6th grade students who will attend Hazen in the fall on Wednesday, May 17, at 6:30 PM in the Auditorium.  Parents will have an opportunity to meet teachers, and be introduced to the changes they should expect when their child enters middle school.

Green Up Day in Hardwick!  The annual Green Up Day in Vermont will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  Hazen students can earn valuable Community Service hours by helping organizers at the Hardwick Fire Station by handing out bags and gloves and taking in roadside trash as it comes in.  Volunteers are needed from 9 AM to 3 PM.  Please contact Karen Klotz at 472-9034 to sign up!
Early Dismissal for Teacher Professional Development on Tuesday, May 9.  Students will be dismissed at 11:35 AM to allow teachers to participate in scheduled professional development.

Senior Class Pie Breakfast Fundraiser CANCELLED.. The Class of 2017 has cancelled this fundraising event.
Vermont Green Up Day.. Saturday, May 6.  Student volunteers are needed and you can earn Community Service hours!
